Job description: The East Rochester School District is recruiting a Long Term Per Diem Building Substitute Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.
This position will be located in the Elementary School
Building Substitute Teacher Roles and Expectations
- Works consistently Monday-Friday
- Works with teachers, students, and school leaders
- Works in one designated building where there will be opportunities to support a variety of classrooms, students, and special projects
- Works with students at all grade levels (with varying levels of need) in their designated building
- Assists school staff and administration in supporting student engagement
- Builds relationships and collaborates with other staff
- Requires a high degree of innovation, enthusiasm, and a spirit of collaboration
- Great interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated effectiveness in developing relationships

Disclaimer: This position is funded through the ESSER II (CRRSA) and ESSER III (ARP) Federal Funding initiatives which span from 2021-2024. This position is temporary, and the initiatives tied to the federal education funding for pandemic learning loss will not be part of the East Rochester School Budget during this four-year period or thereafter. When this federal funding period ends, our students should be at or above the developmental levels that were in place prior to the pandemic.
