Teen Parent Specialist I (6:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.) - Seton Home

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
• Plan, lead, and implement parenting, educational, independent living skills, and recreational activities
• Build positive relationships with program participants and their children
• Maintain agency policies and procedures to ensure youth rights and appropriate discipline
• Engage with participants to foster positive and age-appropriate development
• Complete documentation accurately in accordance with state licensing and various funders

What is Required (Qualifications):
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 6-month experience in a human services field or Child Welfare Field
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and valid vehicle insurance
• Experience with computer software
• Solid grasp of Trauma Informed Care and Pregnant and Parenting Populations

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
• Associate degree preferred in a Human Services Field, Education, or Psychology
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Empathy and resilience in working with pregnant and parenting teen mothers and their children
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
