Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with unique needs such as dementia, developmental disabilities, and long-term care requirements. This role is vital in creating a safe and nurturing environment for clients in personal care homes or through home community care.

Responsibilities
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
• Administer first aid as necessary and ensure the safety of clients at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the client??s living space to promote a healthy environment.
• Support clients with memory care strategies for those experiencing cognitive challenges such as dementia.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Document client progress and any changes in condition accurately and promptly.
• Assist clients in engaging with their community through social activities and outings when appropriate.

Experience
• Previous experience in personal care, home care, or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with dementia care techniques and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial.
• A strong understanding of memory care principles and the ability to assist clients effectively in managing their daily routines.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all clients while promoting their independence and dignity.
