About the position

The Associate Director of Program and Project Management at Verizon is responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales and pre-sales work related to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Enterprise Network Services. This role involves leading a team that collaborates with customers to define requirements, design solutions, and manage the RFP response and ordering processes. The position requires strong leadership in sales activities, vendor management, and technical disciplines to drive excellence in solutions development and business performance.

Responsibilities
• Lead the sales and pre-sales engineering team for FAA Enterprise Network Services.

• Define customer requirements and design solutions to meet those requirements.
,
• Manage RFP responses, quote generation, and customer acceptance processes.
,
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and third-party providers.
,
• Drive excellence in solutions development and opportunity closure.
,
• Conduct briefings for senior executives and develop technology roadmaps during contract life.
,
• Identify and resolve gaps in deal lifecycle delivery processes.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
,
• Eight or more years of relevant experience in program and project management.
,
• Experience managing teams.
,
• Five or more years in a sales or solutions architecture role within the telecommunications industry.
,
• Five or more years in a customer-facing role.
,
• Vendor management and negotiation experience.
,
• Ability to obtain a public trust security clearance.

• An MBA or advanced degree.

• Ability to manage and balance business and technical requirements.

• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills.

• Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Demonstrated interpersonal communication, organization, and project management skills.
