b19 Consulting is working with an established power company to find a Substation P&C Designer that comes from an electric utility background
Preferred Qualifications: ?? 6+ years utility substation P&C design experience (15kV through to 500kV) ?? Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for sponsorship. ?? Strong communication skills to coordinate with project engineers, designers and client representatives. ?? Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel & Word. ?? QA/QC of schematic designs and coping of new projects ?? AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bentley Descartes or Raster Design experience ?? Proficiency with SEL or GE relays ?? Detailed design of new substation layouts using electrical schematics, bill of materials and equipment specifications. ?? Substation lightning stroke shielding plan and grounding plan experience ?? Knowledge relay protection & control engineering ?? Ability to lead a large portion or the entirety of a substation design project.
