About the position

The Staff Pharmacist, Sr. Manager, Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) is responsible for overseeing clinical pharmacy fulfillment operations, ensuring compliance with corporate, legal, and regulatory guidelines. This role involves managing operational performance, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement projects while maintaining high standards of service and quality. The PIC is also responsible for strategic planning, staff management, and maintaining pharmacy licensure, ensuring that pharmacy practices are safe, lawful, and ethical.

Responsibilities
• Manage and oversee clinical pharmacy fulfillment operations.
,
• Drive operational end-to-end processes to ensure timely dispensing of prescriptions.
,
• Coach and mentor clinical and non-clinical staff.
,
• Resolve issues and escalations with clinical and non-clinical teams.
,
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
,
• Maintain and report on operational performance and cost management.
,
• Participate in strategic planning for pharmacy operations, sales, and marketing.
,
• Represent the pharmacy in cross-functional meetings and projects.
,
• Implement new corporate initiatives and processes within the pharmacy.
,
• Oversee recruitment, performance reviews, and development of pharmacy staff.

Requirements
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, RPh, or PharmD.
,
• Current Hawaii pharmacy licensure in good standing.
,
• 3 years of experience in dispensing pharmacy.
,
• 2-3 years of experience in healthcare or PBM industry preferred.
,
• Minimum of 1 year of management experience in pharmacy operations setting.
,
• Proven experience in enhancing pharmacy operations and processes.
,
• Extensive knowledge of current pharmacy regulations.
,
• Excellent communication skills, including presentations and negotiations.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience with strategic work planning and budgeting.
,
• Experience in representing or interacting with State Board or regulatory agencies.
