The Employment Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting members in Iowa with securing stable employment opportunities and connecting them to workforce development programs. Responsibilities
• Assist members in connecting to new employment opportunities and workforce development programs.

• Collaborate with community rehabilitation providers to identify temporary work options.

• Establish relationships with provider agencies to facilitate job placements for enrolled members.

• Engage directly with members to promote stable employment opportunities.
,
• Educate employers about the abilities of the member population.

• Prepare and submit required documents and reports accurately and timely.

• Investigate longer-term incentives to enhance training and employment opportunities.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in public policy, health, social work, or a related field.

• Minimum three years of experience in Mental Health, Public Health, Public Policy, or healthcare as a Social Worker, Counselor, or similar position.

• Knowledge and experience with community-based organizations and employment training and placement agencies.
,
• Experience in conflict management in a work setting, preferably healthcare.
,
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
,
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Product Suite.
