Essential Duties:

?ssist the surgical team by directly supporting surgeons during procedures, including suturing and tissue manipulation.

?rovide hands-on assistance with positioning and draping patients for surgery.

?nsure surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are prepared and functional.

?onitor and maintain the sterile field while adhering to strict aseptic techniques.

?ollaborate with the surgical team during intraoperative and post-operative phases.

?ocument surgical procedures accurately and help manage inventory.

Responsibilities:

?rovide critical first-assist functions, such as retracting tissues, closing incisions, and controlling bleeding.

?nticipate the surgeon s needs to ensure smooth procedural flow.

?osition and stabilize surgical devices when needed.

?articipate in pre- and post-operative briefings to optimize care delivery.

?tay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

?Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist - First Assist (CST-FA) preferred or completion of an accredited first-assist program.

?Licensure: Active certification and licensure as required by Texas state regulations.

?Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

?Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years assisting in surgical settings preferred.

?Skills: Advanced knowledge of surgical instruments, techniques, and operating room protocols.
