Summary

The Psychology Division of the Department of Pediatrics is recruiting a half-time clinical research assistant to aid in the day-to-day management of a research protocol related to treatment of children and adolescents with functional seizures. The role will include recruiting patients, scheduling study visits according to a research protocol, development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data quality assurance, collecting data according to standard procedures, using electronic data capture systems, and delivery of a standardized intervention for the control group condition.

The position is part-time and hybrid, offering a flexible work schedule. It includes two full days and one half day each week.

Job Duties
?Interviews, screens, and recruits patients for the study; explains process and procedures to educate participants regarding the research study
?Collects patient information, processes documents, and enters information into databases
?Maintains records and regulatory documents and records for the research study
?Schedules research participants for study visits and assists participants with navigation of the study
?Conducts baseline and follow-up study visits
?Serves as a coach for participants randomized to the control group condition, delivering a validated treatment targeting mood
?Places reminder calls or emails for therapy visits and helps manage the schedule of the psychologists providing the therapy
?Orders supplies and equipment
?Provides general administrative support to the research team and other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
?Bachelor's degree in a related field.Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
?One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications
?Master's degree in a related field.
?Education and/or experience in interviewing, psychology, counseling, social work, or education.
?Prior experience as a research coordinator and/or with clinical research.
