This fully remote opportunity provides the chance to make a significant impact by ensuring that healthcare facilities uphold the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Conduct thorough on-site evaluations of Medicare-Medicaid certified healthcare facilities to verify adherence to federal standards.</li><li>Engage in various surveys, including re-certification, comparative audits, complaint investigations, and follow-up visits, for diverse facilities such as:</li><ul><li>Long-term care institutions</li><li>Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASC)</li><li>Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICFs/IID)</li><li>End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) centers</li><li>Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTF)</li><li>Hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals</li><li>Hospice centers</li></ul><li>Prepare for assessments by reviewing documentation, touring facilities, observing care practices, and interviewing staff and residents.</li><li>Identify and report non-compliance areas, ensuring healthcare facilities are equipped to address deficiencies.</li><li>Evaluate facility systems concerning quality of care, patient rights, and physical infrastructure.</li><li>Effectively communicate findings with key personnel during the survey process.</li><li>Review and assess corrective action plans, conduct follow-ups, and monitor compliance enhancements.<br></li></ul><strong>Required Skills<br><br></strong><ul><li>Active RN license in good standing.</li><li>Strong analytical skills to evaluate healthcare systems and ensure regulatory compliance.</li><li>Capable of making independent decisions and managing survey processes proficiently.</li><li>Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and organizational abilities.</li><li>Willingness and capacity to travel nationwide up to 75% regularly.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.</li><li>Completion of CMS's Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing of the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) is mandatory.</li><li>A minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a surveyor in accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Career Growth Opportunities<br><br></strong>Our company is committed to fostering professional development.
