Clinical / Biomedical Imaging Engineering Manager
Responsibilities: Oversee and manage a team of Biomedical Imaging Engineers, ensuring efficient daily service and repair of designated Imaging equipment across multiple modalities. Develop and implement strategic plans for equipment maintenance, upgrades, and replacements. Collaborate with hospital administration, department heads, and vendors to ensure optimal equipment performance and clinical availability. Manage budget for the department, including equipment purchases, maintenance costs, and staffing. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and safety protocols. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance department efficiency and service quality. Develop and implement training programs for staff on new technologies and procedures. Analyze department performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement. Serve as a liaison between the engineering team, clinical staff, and hospital administration. Stay current with emerging technologies in medical imaging and evaluate their potential implementation. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service contracts. Oversee the maintenance of accurate equipment records and documentation. Conduct regular performance reviews and support professional development of team members. Participate in hospital-wide committees related to medical technology and patient care improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) 5-7 years of experience in biomedical imaging, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role Strong technical background in multiple Medical Imaging disciplines Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
