About the position

The Regional Sales Director (RSD) role at Cigna Healthcare is a remote, field-based position focused on driving growth in Supplemental Health products. The RSD partners with field sales and account management teams to enhance product distribution and manage relationships with brokers and consultants. This role requires significant travel (70% or greater) within the assigned territory, which includes the New York City Metro and New Jersey, and emphasizes proactive outreach to increase market knowledge of Cigna's Supplemental Health solutions.

Responsibilities
? Drive Market Level Distribution Strategy by developing and executing strategies to grow sales of Accidental Injury, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity products.

? Collaborate with market leadership and matrix partners to share market feedback and facilitate best practices.
,
? Accountable for achieving assigned supplemental health sales goals, including new business sales and persistency bonuses.
,
? Participate in internal calls to communicate sales needs to operations and other departments.
,
? Attend finalist meetings, negotiate with underwriting, and conduct seminars as part of market-level strategies.

Requirements
? Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
,
? 3+ years of relevant experience in sales or health insurance.
,
? Health insurance industry experience is required.
,
? Proven track record of delivering business results.
,
? Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-based environment.
,
? Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with executive presence.

? Experience leading in a heavily matrixed environment.

Nice-to-haves
? Experience with supplemental health products such as Accidental Injury, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity.

? Familiarity with billing and claims processes.
