It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work onsite for three (3) or more days a week and will have a dedicated workspace when working onsite. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.
About this Role:
The Analyst II, Finance is responsible for performing financial reporting and analysis of assigned business unit. This role will partner with business unit managers and the finance team to prepare and review operating budgets, forecasts, monthly financials and product analysis. This may include, but is not limited to, monthly journal entries, fee analysis, loan and deposit review, regulatory reporting and ad-hoc analysis requests.
The successful candidate is a self-starter who can design, plan, and execute on preparing reports ensuring accurate, timely and actionable financial reporting. Additional responsibilities and accountabilities include:
? Develop and maintain competency within the bank?s financial systems to facilitate segment and business unit specific reporting and analysis
? Demonstrates a proven track record in retrieving data from multiple sources and able to effectively utilize/analyze this data and display it in a meaningful way to management.
? Work with Business Segment managers on analysis of business and business products.
? Continuously identify opportunities for increased efficiency/accuracy.
? Demonstrates adaptability in adjusting analysis, reporting, and forecasting to accommodate the changing business dynamics/products.
? Develop, prepare, and improve financial reporting to assist in the ongoing management and evaluation of the business.
? Perform processes and reporting that include vendor payments, T&E processing, GL account reconciliation, and journal entries.
? Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly reporting, supporting processes and variance analysis.
? Request and analyze data from multiple sources.
? Identify other areas to leverage information.
Key Skills:
3+ Years experience with:
? Complex Excel models/calculations and Excel add-ins.
? Independent research and problem-solving skills.
? Strong aptitude for accounting and financial statement analysis.
? Investigating and solving problems in straightforward situations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
? Bachelor?s degree, preferably in Finance, or equivalent experience
? Ability to work in large and medium sized project teams, as self-directed contributor with a proven track record of being detail orientated, innovative, creative, and strategic
? Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships. Maintain regular and predictable attendance in alignment with departmental/divisional policy.
? Compliance: Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. Complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls, as required
? Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
Desired:
? Analytical experience and/or aptitude
? Interest in financial services and commercial banking
? Experience with PowerBI, Business Objects, Access or other reporting tools.
