About the Role:

Responsible for reviewing mortgage loan files per investor and agency requirements. Is a collaborative member of the HL Quality Control team and reports directly to the Quality Control Manager.
? Works collaboratively with Underwriters, to ensure compliance with HL retail loan program.
? Develops appropriate methodologies in order to determine appropriate sampling levels and maintains tracking of loan selections.
? May provide QC results periodically to management with recommendations for process and procedural changes that will improve results.
? Makes recommendations for additional training and communication to front-line and back-room departments based on analysis from the QC reviews.
? Stays appraised of product and investor guidelines as well as regulatory and procedural changes that might impact loan quality.
? Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities ? knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
? Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
? Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
? May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

About You:
? Bachelor?s degree or equivalent preferred.
? 4-7 years of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac underwriting experience required.
? 4-7 years of VA, FHA, RD and GNMA underwriting experience preferred.
? Extremely strong relationship management abilities, analytical and problem-solving skills, and credit and credit quality skills.
? Advanced knowledge of HL products and services that result in successfully assessing and identifying quality control initiatives.
? Extremely strong auditing, credit analysis and quality control skills.
? Knowledge of lending policies, procedures, practices, and documentation.
? Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
? Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage relationships.
? Proficiency with personal computers and related software packages such as Word and Excel, and other business machines.
? Ability to train and present to small and large audiences or has the interest in learning to train and present.

Workstyle: Fully onsite.

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $85,000.00 to $110,000.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
