Position Summary: The Senior SIU Manager will manage a staff of SIU Investigators conducting field and desk investigations for Kemper Companies, Management of Large Losses or SIU Process. This position will have 6-10 direct reports from multiple operating locations. The Senior Manager will fill in for SIU directors or AVP of SIU on a temporary basis as needed. Position Responsibilities: Manages a team of coordinators and analysts responsible for triaging of cases from all sources, including adjuster referrals, law enforcement and technology. Responsible for all SIU state compliance reporting and inquiries for all states where Kemper writes business. Conducts interviews and aids in selection and training/development of SIU personnel and management. Provides oversight of all investigations assigned within designated team/region to ensure that assignments are accurate and that investigations are proper, thorough and timely; and to ensure control of expenses on investigations. Conducts regular open file reviews and both primary and secondary level audits of closed investigations to ensure compliance with Best Practices, Operating Guidelines and state-specific statutory requirements. Monitors performance by reviewing audit results, management reports and other SIU performance dashboards on a regular basis. Develops strategies to maintain or improve performance. Clearly communicates performance expectations to individual employees and team while collaborating to provide accurate and ongoing performance feedback and promote career development. Analyze management report data to identify trends that impact customer service and quality. Assists in compiling data to file annual fraud reports/fraud plans with various states. Develop short and long term goals to establish and update best practices. Performs all other duties as assigned. Position Qualifications: Must possess an in-depth knowledge of the principles of casualty insurance and the auto casualty claims adjustment process. Bachelor?s Degree and/or experience gained through law enforcement and continuing industry related education required. A minimum of 7 years SIU experience is required. Prior supervisory experience is preferred. Fraud designations such as CIFI, FCLS, FCLA, or CFE are preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, thorough working knowledge of computers, ability to type proficiently and operate efficiently in a modern ?paperless? environment are essential. The range for this position is $95,900 to $159,700. When determining candidate offers, we consider experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location among other factors. This job is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and Kemper benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401k, etc.) This position is a an onsite role and can be located in our Lake Mary, FL or Henderson, NV office.
