It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work remotely 100% of the time and will share a hoteling workspace if/when working onsite, as determined by business needs. The incumbent can work remotely from anywhere in the United States, unless otherwise specified in the job posting. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.
Summary of the Job:
The Lead Developer, Technology is responsible for collaborating with the Delivery team to ensure the solutions developed will deliver value and improve the quality of the software. This includes partnering with the Systems Analyst and Testers on the Delivery team to define tasks and provide final estimates for User Stories. The Developers are responsible for attending and participating in all Scrum ceremonies.
About This Role:
Duties may include:
? Understand the current software environment
? Lead, mentor and collaborate in the design, development and implementation and maintenance of both new and existing requirements to existing software applications.
? Ensure code compliance with regulatory and security policies
? Manage the full software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
? Assist with the strategic direction for our card authorizations and fraud platforms
? Work with stakeholders to understand requirements, functionality and constraints.
? Work with enterprise architecture and other teams to understand our integration to core systems and how we can modernize our software in that framework
? Evaluating and selecting the appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools that will be used in the development process. This includes considering factors such as scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
? Maintenance of technical architectural design documents
? Partner closely with Testers and Delivery Managers to ensure User Stories are refined and in a ready state for Sprint Planning
? Writing code, developing unit and functional-level automated tests and creating build and deployment scripts.
? Participate in on call rotation.
The Ideal Candidate for This Role:
? 8+ years of BASE24 Classic development experience
? Proficiency in other programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, or similar
? Minimum of 10 years of running payment authorization systems or other highly available systems
? Familiarity with cloud technologies and platforms.
? Experience working with Agile methodologies
? Proven collaboration and communication skills across the organization
? Proven experience with difficult and long running projects.
? Resilient in ambiguous situations and approach challenges from multiple perspectives
? Ability to lead and influence developers with various levels of experience.
? Keen attention to detail with focus on quality
? Knowledge of software code libraries
? Experience with DevOps tools such as GitLab or Jenkins preferred
