The Role

Our Deal Team members collaborate with Palantir's Sales, Legal, Finance, and Engineering teams to proactively engage with existing and prospective commercial customers, leading the structuring and negotiation of deal terms so that Palantir can continue to drive positive impact in the world.

As a member of the Commercial Deal Desk, you will support Deal Team members as they drive deal execution and support our sales efforts at scale. You will use your expertise to coordinate the formulation of commercial deal terms, and provide them to internal stakeholders ready for customer negotiations. You will also utilize your understanding of the business landscape to build relationships with internal partners, manage the commercial deal pipeline, and increase the visibility of deal progress and forecasting impact across all levels of our organization, from analysts to C-suite executives.

In this role, you will also support various special projects that arise at our fast-paced, mission-focused company. We're a team that values both creativity and teamwork. Whether operating solo or collaboratively, we endeavor to achieve great results on challenging, time-sensitive deal discussions and projects.

You'll be given open ended objectives and expected to find ways to turn them into outcomes. By focusing on the broad vision without losing sight of the details, you will be critical in ensuring our company strategy is reflected in our commercial dealmaking, whilst helping shape the future strategy. You'll deliver complex commercial contract and deal information in an understandable way, and can manage high touch stakeholders in a constantly shifting landscape. You are ready to become an expert on the intricate details of deal terms and contracts that enable Palantir to implement its cutting-edge technology to solve real-world problems.

Core Responsibilities
? Develop in-depth knowledge of Palantir's contracting and pricing processes to provide deal structuring and pricing support to Deal Team members and Sales counterparts.
? Draft materials in support of deal negotiations, including pricing proposals and order forms.
? Manage updates and accuracy of Palantir's commercial deal pipeline within Salesforce to align financial systems and commercial systems; work with relevant teams to identify and resolve variances.
? Partner with Finance team to provide leadership with visibility of deal progress and forecasting impact.
? Drive adherence to internal controls, processes and business rules to enable growth.
? Coordinate the flow of information across multiple teams, including Deal Team, Sales, Legal, Accounting, Finance to facilitate the deal process.
? Distill your experiences with individual customers into suggested improvements for deal structures, contract terms, and process improvements.

What We Value
? 5+ years of deal desk or related processes experience such as sales operations, finance, sales strategy, and sales enablement experience; SaaS or other technology company experience is a definite plus.
? A customer service orientation, with experience supporting Sales and other teams in a fast-paced environment.
? Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, leveraging effective communication as well as strong writing and an attention to detail.
? Strong program/project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision or administrative support.
? Adaptive, empathetic, and introspective; willing to learn, teach, lead and follow.
? Willingness and ability to work outside of standard business hours as needed.
