About the position

The Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT Basic) position involves responding to both emergency and non-emergency medical requests, providing high-quality care and treatment to patients. EMTs are responsible for assessing patients, delivering emergency services, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for care. This role requires collaboration with other health and public safety personnel and participation in community programs to enhance the organization's image.

Responsibilities
? Provide assessment of patients and determine necessary care.

? Deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.

? Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality.

? Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.

? Utilize appropriate EMT skills including communications and medical equipment handling.

? Operate an ambulance in compliance with safety policies and traffic laws.

? Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel.

Requirements
? High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

? State Driver's License.

? State EMT-Basic certification.

? CPR/BLS certifications.

? Driving record in compliance with company policy.

? Pass Physical Agility Test.

? Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.
