About the position

Responsibilities
? Plan and conduct in-house investigations for the emissions events program; prepare reports to document investigation findings.

? Identify potential violations through investigations of reports and records of emissions.

? Conduct enforcement and follow-up activities in accordance with Enforcement Initiation Criteria.

? Provide technical assistance and information to the public, regulated community, and other interested groups regarding the application of appropriate regulations.

? Coordinate and/or participate in the collection of records, research, or analysis due to Public Information Requests (PIR).

? Participate on committees and attend meetings, seminars, or workshops as required.

? Perform technical assistance activities for disaster response as needed.

Requirements
? A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in a natural or physical science, engineering, environmental studies, or related field.

? Experience performing environmental activities.

? Experience writing technical or research papers.
