About the position

The Front Desk Assistant Manager at The Gunter Hotel is responsible for supporting the Front Desk Manager in overseeing the Front Office operations. This role emphasizes providing exceptional guest service, maximizing room revenue, and ensuring efficient hotel operations. The Assistant Manager will engage with guests and staff in a friendly and courteous manner while managing various administrative and supervisory tasks.

Responsibilities
? Assist the Front Desk Manager in daily operations of the Front Office.

? Provide quality service to guests before and during their stay.
,
? Maximize room revenue and occupancy by analyzing daily status and rates.
,
? Respond to guest requests, complaints, and issues in a courteous manner.
,
? Motivate, coach, and discipline Front Desk personnel according to company standards.
,
? Conduct interviews and assist in hiring procedures for Front Desk staff.
,
? Prepare employee performance appraisals and ensure training of staff.
,
? Monitor and ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
,
? Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming for staff.
,
? Ensure accurate cash handling and billing processes at the Front Desk.

Requirements
? At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, or a 2-year college degree with 3 years of experience, or a 4-year college degree with 1 year of experience.

? Supervisory experience is required.

? Proficiency in Windows operating systems is necessary.
,
? Ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
,
? Capability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.

? Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.

? Effective problem-solving skills in the workplace.
