About the position

The Public Health Informatics Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the utilization of existing informatics solutions across multiple internal divisions and program areas within Tarrant County's Public Health department. This position is focused on optimizing the collection, analysis, and reporting of public health data, aligning with the department's data modernization goals. The analyst will work closely with various public health program areas to ensure that the informatics solutions are effectively utilized to meet the needs of the department and the community it serves. In this role, the analyst will engage with end users of public health information systems to help them articulate their program and reporting needs. This involves developing and maintaining training programs aimed at increasing the competencies of Public Health staff in utilizing these information systems. The analyst will also establish and provide ongoing support for knowledge management processes and tools, ensuring that the organization continues to progress toward its vision of effective public health informatics. Additionally, the analyst is expected to maintain a high level of knowledge regarding current public health and population health informatics applications, trends, and changes in various health information technologies. This position is grant-funded, and the posting may close at any time, emphasizing the need for timely applications.

Responsibilities
? Enhance the utilization of existing informatics solutions within Public Health.

? Work with end users of public health information systems to articulate their program and reporting needs.

? Develop and maintain training to increase Public Health staff competencies in utilizing public health information systems.

? Establish and provide ongoing support of knowledge management processes and tools.

? Maintain knowledge of current public health and population health informatics applications, trends, and changes in health information technologies.

? Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
? Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Informatics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or a related field with two years of full-time public health, healthcare, or hospital work experience.

? Master's degree in Public Health, Informatics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or a related field is highly preferred.
,
? Development experience in QuickBase or similar No Code/Low Code relational database plus Microsoft SharePoint is required.
,
? Experience in API, JSON, or HTML programming skills is preferred.
,
? Knowledge of project management is preferred.
