About the position

GlobaLogix, Inc. is seeking dedicated Electrical Apprentices/Helpers to join our team in Abilene, Texas. Our company specializes in delivering engineering, design, and installation of industrial control systems for mid-market Energy and Utility clients. As an Electrical Apprentice/Helper, you will play a crucial role in our operations, assisting in various tasks that are essential to the successful execution of our projects. In this fast-paced environment, you will be expected to work a full-time schedule, typically Monday to Friday, with the possibility of a 2:1 rotation for those who are not local. The position requires a commitment of at least 50-60 hours per week, and you must be prepared to work in varying weather conditions. Your responsibilities will include bending tubing, running tubing with supervision, and understanding basic blueprints. You will also assist in installing supports and braces, and you should have experience with tools such as chop saws, band saws, drills, and threaders. Additionally, you will be involved in the fabrication and assembly of conduit, welded piping, tubing, and associated brackets according to the drawings provided. To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a current Texas Apprentice License, or be willing to obtain one with the company's assistance. A minimum of one year of electrical experience is required, with two or more years preferred. Previous experience in the oilfield is also advantageous. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer knowledge, good communication skills, and basic math and reading skills. This position is safety-sensitive, and you will be required to participate in a drug testing program, including a pre-employment drug screen. A clean driving record is essential, as driving is considered a safety-sensitive function.

Responsibilities
? Assist in bending tubing 1/4" to 1/2" stainless steel.

? Run tubing with some supervision.

? Understand basic blueprints with moderate supervision.

? Assist with installing supports and braces.

? Experience with chop saw, band saw, drills, threaders, etc.

? Read tape measure and applicable degree units.

? Basic knowledge of tools.

? Assist in fabrication and assemblies of conduit, welded piping, tubing, and associated brackets to all drawings provided.

Requirements
? Current Texas Apprentice License (Company will help set up if required).

? Minimum 1-year electrical experience (2+ years of electrical experience preferred).

? Previous oilfield experience and knowledge is preferred.

? High School Diploma/GED or higher level.

? Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.).

? Good communication skills.

? Basic math skills.

? Reading skills (basic instructional and technical information).

? An acceptable combination of education and experience.
