Primary Functions of Position

The role of a Salesforce Master Data Management (MDM) Data Architect is critical in ensuring that an organization effectively manages and utilizes its data across various systems. The primary functions include:
? **Data Governance**: Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, consistency, and security across the organization. This includes defining data ownership, standards, and best practices.
? **Data Modeling**: Design and develop comprehensive data models that align with business requirements and facilitate data integration. This involves understanding existing data structures and creating a blueprint for future needs.
? **Integration Solutions**: Create integration strategies that allow data to flow seamlessly between Salesforce and other enterprise systems. This includes identifying and implementing appropriate tools and technologies for effective data exchange.
? **Data Quality Management**: Implement processes and tools to continuously monitor and improve data quality. This includes defining metrics, conducting data profiling, and establishing data cleansing routines.
? **Collaboration with Stakeholders**: Work closely with various stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and data stewards, to understand their data requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
? **Master Data Strategy**: Develop and maintain a master data strategy that defines how to manage key entities (such as customers, products, and vendors) within the Salesforce ecosystem.
? **Technical Leadership**: Provide technical guidance to the team on MDM best practices and assist in troubleshooting data-related issues within Salesforce and related platforms.
? **Training and Support**: Offer training and support to users on data management tools and processes to foster a culture of data stewardship within the organization.

By fulfilling these functions, a Salesforce MDM Data Architect plays a vital role in leveraging data as a strategic asset, ultimately driving better decision-making and enhancing operational efficiency.

Essential Job Duties
? Work independently in a time critical environment and as part of a team on ongoing projects.
? Understanding of how master data is used within business processes and its impact on desired business process outcomes
? Ability to influence peers and subordinates to modify behaviors and provide support for the adoption of data governance policies
? Synthesize information to create professional project deliverables including meeting minutes, business requirements, business process flows, value stream maps, and data flow diagrams.
? Create and present high-quality documents that can be shared with end users.
? Follow GxP standards for writing complete and accurate user stories.
? Communicate enhancement requests to implementation team.
? Create test cases including various scenarios/edge cases to test the effectiveness of user stories.
? Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong analytical, presentation, and reporting skills.
? Must be able to perform work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks and demands simultaneously.
? Must be flexible and quickly adapt to changing business needs and processes.
? Be able to evaluate and recommend improvements to the user interface and user experience design in order to drive efficiency of the related business processes. Be able to recognize and correct user experiences that are not scalable.
? Collaboration with key project stakeholders and business communities to comprehend the overall business vision for each project.
? Collaboration with developers and SMEs to build the technical vision and analyze trade-offs.
? Plan, create deliverables for, and facilitate User Acceptance Testing.
? Communicate progress and status to business stakeholders and Technology management via written reports.
