About the position

As a Tire and Battery Center Services Lead at Sam's Club, you will play a pivotal role in driving member service and supervising a team of hourly associates to ensure the delivery of safe and efficient services. You will maintain an in-depth knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery service standards, and equipment operations. Your ability to share knowledge and train your team will be crucial in ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and information to perform their daily tasks effectively. As a tech-savvy leader, you will leverage digital tools to enhance sales, improve service experiences, and elevate associate engagement. You will utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions and encourage your team to adopt new tools and technologies. Your ownership of the business results will be evident as you maintain a clean and safe work area, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Additionally, you will act as a talent ambassador, training and developing your team to deliver high-quality services. You will monitor associates' training progress, identify potential in others, and encourage career growth. Your role will also involve collaborating with managers and co-workers to implement processes that meet business needs while promoting compliance with company policies and ethical standards. By leading and participating in teams, you will ensure that customer needs and business priorities are met effectively.

Responsibilities
? Supervise the team within the Tire and Battery Center to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club.

? Communicate the goals of the department and set guidelines and expectations for tire and battery service.

? Execute company programs and adhere to policies while advocating for members and associates.

? Maintain in-depth knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery service standards, and equipment operations.

? Share knowledge and train the team on new products and technologies related to the business.

? Leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve service experiences.

? Ensure a neat, clean, and safe work area for the team and members.

? Order equipment, tools, and supplies as needed while managing expenses.

? Track and monitor returns and special orders, and assist in staffing and scheduling.

? Operate cash registers and process transactions as needed.

? Train and teach the team to be highly effective and monitor training completion.
,
? Identify potential in others and encourage career growth for associates.

? Collaborate with managers and co-workers to develop and implement business processes.

? Promote compliance with company policies and ethical standards.

Requirements
? 6 months supervisory experience or 6 months experience in the automotive industry.

? Must be 18 years of age or older.
