Shell has created several new career opportunities within our newest state of the art Shell Polymers facility in Monaca, Pennsylvania, and we are seeking your expertise to further build on our Polyethylene capabilities within our team. One of the newly created opportunities is Polyethylene Technology Manager which will provide you with an opportunity to be a key part of the Leadership Team at a brand new, world-scale Polyethylene facility. The Polyethylene Technology Manager is part of the Technology Leadership Team. This team member leads a team of approximately four subject matter experts (SMEs) and provides technical expertise to their direct team and others across the site. One of the main objectives is to improve site reliability by enhancing overall proficiency in Polyethylene Process Technology and driving medium to long-term advancements. The Polyethylene Technology Team Lead will play a vital role in the site's technical community and is also part of the Extended Site Leadership Team (ESLT). In 2022, Shell completed construction of its 386-acre petrochemical complex in Potter Township, Beaver County - approximately 30 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. The feat was nearly a decade in the making, with more than four years of construction activity involving approximately 9,500 workers at peak construction. The plant, Shell Polymers Monaca, will produce an estimated 1.6 million tones of polyethylene pellets used by Shell's customers to create products that we see and use every day including - common household goods; consumer and food packaging; as well as industrial and utility products. Responsibilities
? Lead the site Polyethylene Technology SMEs

? Provide coaching and direction to a group of 4 deep technology experts on Polyethylene Technology; this group includes the Senior Technologist for gas-phase reaction, slurry phase reaction, and finishing
,
? Manage the effective implementation of the organizational operating model as a member of the Extended Site Leadership Team
,
? Design, implement, and oversee the knowledge transfer and upskilling process for the site in polyethylene process knowledge, in collaboration with the Process Engineering Manager
,
? Champion sustainable, long-term improvements in polyethylene units by ensuring that the SMEs bring in external ideas and learnings from the PE industry to Shell Monaca
,
? Represent polyethylene technology in the Shell Polymers Business team, bringing technical risk to the table in the decision-making process around introduction of new polymer grades
Requirements
? Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

? Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
,
? Minimum 10+ years' experience at Polyethylene production facilities, preferably with Univation Gas-phase reactors and/or Ineos Slurry phase technology
,
? Proven leadership and mentoring skills to both junior and more experienced colleagues
