Job Description

Within the Engineering Systems discipline we are seeking an experienced Plant 3D Administrator to manage the setup and configuration of AutoCAD Plant 3D projects, develop and maintain piping specifications, and support project teams with troubleshooting and best practices. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in Excel and databases to manipulate and manage project data efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Set up and configure AutoCAD Plant 3D projects, including project structures, databases, and collaboration environments. Develop and maintain Plant 3D piping specifications, including component catalogs and project-specific spec requirements. Manage project templates, standards, and customizations to align with company and client requirements. Support data management within the Plant 3D project, ensuring proper linking of P&IDs, models, and databases. Work with SQLite, SQL Server, or other databases to manipulate Plant 3D project data and ensure consistency. Utilize Excel (including macros, Power Query, and formulas) to analyze and process data related to specs, catalogs, and project deliverables. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Plant 3D functionality, including database connectivity, model corruption, and spec inconsistencies. Assist engineering and design teams with best practices for modeling, drawing production, and data extraction. Provide training and documentation for project teams to ensure efficient use of Plant 3D tools and workflows. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
3+ years of experience in AutoCAD Plant 3D administration, including project setup and spec development Strong understanding of piping specifications, catalog creation, and data workflows in Plant 3D. Proficiency in Excel, including data manipulation, formulas, macros, and Power Query. Experience working with databases (SQLite, SQL Server, or Access) to extract, edit, and maintain Plant 3D project data. Ability to troubleshoot software issues and optimize Plant 3D performance. 5 yrs. experience in the industrial, construction, energy, oil & gas or related industry. Able to make basic day-to-day decisions which may involve planning and are well defined by project requirements. Able to communicate with supervising designers, other discipline designers and technical specialists to obtain technical information as required. Solid knowledge of plant design principles, piping components, and industry standards (ASME, ANSI, etc.). Ability to multitask. Team player and willing to receive direction.
