We are currently recruiting for the position of Warehouse Management Systems Automation Engineer.
This role is focused on optimizing warehouse operations by leveraging our portfolio of technology which includes automated logistics equipment, data analytics, and warehouse control and management systems. The goal is to ensure we operate at peak efficiency by maintaining and maximizing the use of automated supply chain technologies.
Key Responsibilities: ? WMS Optimization & Automation: Lead initiatives to enhance digital warehouse processes using automation and robotics (which includes AGV, AMR, and other autonomous material handling equipment) aiming for peak efficiency and accuracy. Act as the expert in utilizing WMS and automation management tools to streamline operations. ? System Configuration & Integration: Working closely with operations, assisting with configuration and fine-tuning of the WMS, ensuring it meets organizational needs and integrates with ERP, TMS, and other enterprise systems. Manage existing and explore new opportunities for systems integrations to support automated workflows and data sharing. ? Expert Training & Support: Develop comprehensive training programs focusing on both WMS functionalities and automation management systems, ensuring users can fully utilize system capabilities. Provide expert-level support and problem resolution for system users. ? Process & Integration Documentation: Create detailed documentation for WMS processes, system integrations, and automated system workflows, ensuring consistency and compliance with standards. ? Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders, including IT, supply chain, and warehouse operations, to align WMS and automation functionalities with business objectives. ? Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct in-depth analysis of WMS and automated system data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and produce insightful reports for decision-making. ? Continuous System Enhancement: Regularly assess WMS and automation system performance, advocating for and implementing enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy. ? System Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Ensure the reliability of the WMS and integrated systems, addressing technical issues in collaboration with IT support teams. ? Data Integrity & Automation Management: Manage the accuracy and integrity of data within the WMS and automated systems, focusing on precise inventory and order information. ? Vendor & Budget Management: Collaborate with WMS and automation vendors to ensure optimal system performance and manage related budgets. ? Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, particularly in warehouse operations, data security, and automated processes.
Qualifications: ? Must be able to report to work in-person 5 days / week at the Irving, TX warehouse facility ? Educational Background: Preferably a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, supply chain management, logistics, information technology, or related undergraduate programs. ? Relevant Experience: Minimum of five years in warehouse management with a focus on WMS implementation, administration, and automation systems. ? Technical Proficiency: Expertise in WMS software, automation tools, and familiarity with system integration. ? Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong capability in analyzing data, identifying improvement opportunities, and solving complex problems. ? Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate effectively across various levels, including training users and liaising with vendors. ? Leadership Qualities: Proven leadership skills in cross-departmental collaboration. ? Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to managing system configurations and inventory accuracy. ? Adaptability: Ability to stay abreast of and adapt to evolving logistics, supply chain technologies, and automation trends. ? Certifications: Professional certifications in supply chain management, WMS systems, or automation are desirable. ? Project Management: Solid experience in managing WMS implementation, integration projects, and automation initiatives.
