Job Overview

Reporting to the Airside Operations Safety Manager under general supervision, the position will support the overall organization in pursuit of a Safe and Secure culture through the completion of airside safety audits and inspections of the AOA to ensure overall compliance and ramp cleanliness. The position responsibilities to include coordination and remediation with all relevant parties, initiating corrective action, issuing Notice of Violations against the Airside Safety Handbook, and issuing non-compliance fee notices against airport stakeholders, airlines, vendors, etc. Additionally, this position will manage the overall Safety Promotion component of the DFW Safety Management System (SMS) program.

What you will be doing:
? Oversee the Safety Promotion component within the DFW SMS program by managing documentation, regularly scheduled Airside Safety Newsletters, and conduct regular internal / external trainings, as needed, or requested.
? Conduct and monitor airside safety inspections and audits of the Air Operations Area (AOA), which include runways, taxiways, terminal ramps, cargo ramps, maintenance hangar ramps, and airfield construction project areas to ensure FAR Part 139 compliance, coordinating with relevant departments and stakeholders.
? Coordinate remediation effects by completing inspections and audits to issue non-compliance fees to airport stakeholders, airlines, vendors, etc.
? Enforce ramp compliance with the DFW Airside Safety Handbook through Notice of Violation procedures.
? Support the Airside Operations Safety team through conduction of initial investigations toward airfield incidents, accidents and/or damages to infrastructure or aircraft.
? Update Safety Promotion materials in response to regulatory changes.
? Assist with tracking & trending reported hazards within the DFW SMS program.
? Prepare management-level reports and safety promotional items for internal and external stakeholders.
? Participate in internal and external partner stakeholder safety meetings and DFW committee meetings and working groups.
? Ability to respond as needed to the airport during off-scheduled work hours.
? Some tasks require working outside with exposure to weather elements and/or to support Airfield Operations as needed, to include winter weather activities.
? Other related duties as assigned.

What you need:
? Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent.
? Three (3) years of aviation/airfield/airline/ground handling experience at a FAR 139 certified hub airport
? Possession of a valid Class C driver?s license.
? Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et al., and DFW Airport?s Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
? Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection (CBP) security clearance within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for CBP security access clearance upon each CBP security access renewal.
? Must obtain the Movement Area Driving Endorsement, at minimum, per the DFW Airside Safety Handbook, within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
? This is a designated safety sensitive position as defined in DFW Airport?s Drug and Alcohol Administrative Policy and Procedure. Applicants selected for this position will be required to pass a drug test prior to employment and to submit to drug screening on a random basis during the length of their employment in the safety sensitive position.
? Maintain the ability and flexibility to work all shifts as needed and assigned by supervisor or manager based on department / team needs.

What we desire:
? Two years (2) experience in safety program participation, Safety Management System (SMS) programs, and/or operational airport or airline experience.
? Working knowledge of SMS software.
? Working knowledge of Veoci, See Say Airport, and/or other safety reporting software.
