About the position

The Clerical Assistant 2 position at the Union County Assistance Office is a seasonal role focused on supporting the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about public service and want to make a positive impact in their community. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the staff's ability to provide quality services to the citizens of Pennsylvania. Your responsibilities will include a variety of clerical and general office duties that are essential for the smooth operation of the office. In this role, you will be expected to interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner, both in person and over the phone. Your tasks will involve utilizing basic computer skills for data entry, customer service, scanning, imaging, filing, answering phones, and processing mail and voice mail. You will work under the general supervision of a Clerical Supervisor, ensuring that all office procedures are followed and relevant systems are utilized effectively. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a team environment and have strong organizational skills. The work schedule for this position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. Seasonal employment typically lasts from October through April, but this may vary based on operational needs. The role may also require occasional travel and overtime as necessary. The work environment is a controlled office setting, and employees may be reassigned to different work sites as needed, in compliance with contract language.

Responsibilities
? Perform a wide range of clerical duties to support the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).

Requirements
? Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
,
? Graduation from high school; or
,
? An equivalent combination of experience and training.

? Must meet the PA residency requirement.
