The Crew Manager, Inflight at American Airlines is responsible for supervising and coordinating the performance and activities of Flight Attendants and Support Staff. This role involves acting as the Manager on Duty, providing operational support, and ensuring high-quality service delivery to customers. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including shifts on weekends and holidays, and entails occasional travel.
Responsibilities
? Supervise, direct, and coordinate job performance of Flight Attendants and Support Staff.

? Act as the Manager on Duty or in an operational support role on the concourse, at the gates, or on the aircraft as required.

? Coach and counsel subordinate employees to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
,
? Initiate corrective actions, including dismissals when necessary.
,
? Guide the development of Flight Attendants and Support Staff for greater responsibility and promotion.
,
? Participate in task forces and planning activities to problem-solve and plan departmental direction.
,
? Ensure consistent delivery of quality service to customers.
,
? Conduct in-flight Quality Service Reviews and collaborate with various departments and vendors.
,
? Work shift hours, including weekends and holidays, and travel as required.
Requirements
? High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
,
? Current Flight Service, Passenger Service, or Passenger Sales experience is preferred.
,
? Understanding of working with a contract labor group is desirable.
,
? Ability to coach, develop, and lead a team of Flight Attendants.
,
? Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
,
? Must meet qualifications to train as a flight attendant.
,
? Neat, well-groomed appearance and service-oriented attitude.
,
? Ability to push/pull force of up to 60 pounds and perform physical job requirements, including emergency evacuation drills.

? Ability to coordinate multiple projects effectively.
,
? Must pass FAA criminal background checks and DOT drug tests.
