The Director of Nursing assumes authority, responsibility, and accountability for the delivery of nursing services in the facility, allocates department resources in an efficient and economic manner to enable each guest to attain or maintain the highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.

Responsibilities
? Partners with other departments, medical professionals, advisors, and entities, such as governmental agencies, to foster the development, backing, and coordination of patient care, pertinent administrative functions, and to advocate for the interests of the establishment.
? Ensures that the department follows facility regulations as dictated by federal, state, and local policies and guidelines.
Qualifications
? Someone who has fulfilled the requirements for graduation from an accredited nursing school.
? Before being hired, individuals must have either an active and valid RN license, a temporary RN license through the State Board of Nursing, or a compact RN license.
? Maintaining licensure is essential for RNs to demonstrate their qualifications for practice
? A minimum of one year of confirmed experience in a supervisory role within a hospital, nursing facility, or equivalent healthcare establishment is expected.
? Having worked with vulnerable adults is a plus.
? Successful candidates should demonstrate a history of at least six months of verified experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing procedures.
