Position: Early Elementary School Math and ELA Teacher's Assistant

About the Role:

We?re hiring one dedicated in-person teacher's assistant to provide small-group Math and ELA instruction at PS 50 Talfourd Lawn Elementary School. The TA will work as a push-in support within 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-grade classrooms, assisting classroom teachers by reinforcing foundational literacy and numeracy skills.

What You?ll Do:
? Work closely with teachers to provide engaging, small-group instruction in Math and ELA
? Provide push-in classroom support, helping students develop strong reading, writing, and math skills
? Support differentiated instruction by tailoring lessons to meet diverse learning needs
? Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to motivate students

Schedule:
? Days: Monday ? Friday
? Time: 8:00 AM ? 2:30 PM
? Duration: March 31, 2025 ? June 26, 2025 (excluding holidays and school closures)
? Key Dates Off:
? March 31: Eid al-Fitr
? April 14?18: Spring Recess
? May 26: Memorial Day
? June 5: Anniversary Day
? June 6: Clerical Day

What We?re Looking For:
? Experience: Prior experience tutoring or working as a teaching assistant for early elementary school Math and ELA
? Subject Proficiency: Strong knowledge of foundational literacy and numeracy concepts for grades 1-3
? Team Player: A collaborative spirit and a desire to work closely with teachers and students
? Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to connect effectively with diverse audiences
? Passion: A commitment to educational equity and social justice for minority and low-income students
? Availability: Must be able to work the specified schedule consistently
