Functions as Executive Assistant to the County Administrator, performing a variety of Administrative and fiscal functions requiring considerable knowledge of a technical and professional nature. Also requiring considerable knowledge of all county government operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as County Administrator Office Manager. Researches and assembles information for the County Administrator and County Commissioners as needed. Prepares payroll and attendance reports for the County Administrator?s Office and County Commissioners. Attends all BOCC regular and special meetings virtually to assist the County Administrator on follow up items from the Board. Generates correspondence for the County Administrator and County Commissioners as needed. Prepares agenda items for the County Administrator?s Office. Responsible for accurate information in various information directories. In conjunction with the Administrator, prepares the County Administrator (0235) annual budget request as well as the County Commissioners (0001) annual budget request and keeps up with expenditures in both budgets. Responsible for keeping up with and updating the County Administrator on the status of items requested or assigned by the Board of County Commissioners. Makes sure Commissioners are reminded of upcoming events, especially special meetings. Assists the County Administrator with reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications. Maintains the County Administrator's appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel. Welcomes guests and customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. Schedules Board of County Commission workshops and special meetings. Prepares notices and ensures required advertising of said meetings are completed. Prepares the Commissioners' agenda packets for said meetings. Prepares the signature folder for Chairman?s signature. Responsible for disseminating executed agreements, items to Department Directors once attested by the Clerk. Prepares the annual County Commission calendar for approval. Distributes incoming mail.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor?s degree and two years of administrative experience; or comparable training and experience may substitute on a year for year basis for the required college education.
