The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems within a facility, utilizing specialized equipment like a hot water jetter to clear stubborn clogs and obstructions in drains and pipes, while also addressing general plumbing issues like leaky fixtures, faulty pipes, and clogged toilets; requiring strong mechanical skills, knowledge of plumbing codes, and the ability to operate a hot jetter safely and effectively
Responsibilities:
Building inspections:
Regularly checking for potential hazards like damaged flooring, leaky roofs, faulty lighting, and reporting issues to management.
Work order management:
Receiving, prioritizing, and completing work orders in a timely manner, documenting repairs and parts used.
Basic cleaning and upkeep:
Maintaining common areas, including trash removal, sweeping floors, and cleaning windows.
Outside contractor coordination:
Managing and communicating with external contractors for larger maintenance projects
Record keeping:
Maintaining detailed logs of maintenance activities, including dates, repairs performed, and parts used.
Preventative maintenance:
Regularly inspecting and servicing building systems like HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, electrical panels, fire alarms, and more to prevent issues.
Repair work:
Addressing maintenance requests by fixing plumbing leaks, electrical malfunctions, door repairs, minor carpentry issues, and other building components. Skills and qualifications:
Basic knowledge of multiple trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Experience with hand and power tools
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Attention to detail and safety awareness
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Plumbing Maintenance:
Inspecting and maintaining plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, drains, and toilets for leaks, clogs, and potential issues.
Repairing and replacing faulty plumbing fixtures, including faucets, toilets, and sink components.
Clearing minor clogs in drains using hand tools and plumbing snakes.
Hot Jetter Operation:
Operating a high-pressure hot water jetter to clear severe clogs in drains and sewer lines.
Assessing the severity of clogs using sewer cameras and other diagnostic tools.
Properly setting up and managing the hot jetter equipment to ensure safe operation.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Safety Awareness:
Understanding and adherence to safety protocols related to plumbing work and hot jetter operation.

Professional Plumbing experience
Proven Hot Jetter Operating experience

Possession of valid CDL driving license
Work Location: Onsite; driving involved
Pay Rate: depends on experience
Work Schedule: CST normally 9-5, Monday through Friday; varies based on business need
