About the position

The Financial Analyst position at Advanced Systems Design is a critical role that supports the Florida Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Planning (PALM) operations. This position requires the analyst to be onsite in Tallahassee, FL, starting from day one. The primary responsibilities include generating and managing data analysis, performing data cleanup, and executing data conversion tasks as required. The analyst will also be responsible for analyzing extensive datasets and proposing corrective actions based on their findings. Additionally, the role involves reconciling financial data, which includes recording or adjusting accounting entries to ensure accurate categorization of various financial elements such as receivables, payables, revenue, assets, cash, grants, payroll, disbursements, contracts, and projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with the State of Florida Accounting System (FLAIR), including its usage and transactions, ledger management, and financial reporting. A strong understanding of the State of Florida chart of accounts is essential, as is advanced knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices. The ability to accurately analyze large sets of complex accounting data and propose corrective actions is a key requirement for this role. In addition to the required qualifications, preferred candidates will have experience in managing the State's financial management processes, preparing financial accounting schedules and reports, and analyzing and reconciling financial data. Experience in requirements gathering, data analysis, design, development, testing, or implementation of financial management systems is also beneficial. The role requires effective communication and collaborative skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple complex projects effectively.

Responsibilities

Requirements
