Forklift Operator

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Forklift Operators for a plastics manufacturing client in Surprise, AZ. The Forklift Operator uses physical analysis and scanning equipment to confirm accuracy of pallet tags versus pallet loads and authorize them for delivery into the inventory control system, and uses powered or hand operated lift equipment, stacks, tiers or moves product, equipment or materials.

SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($20.29/hr.) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

$.25 pay increase after 30 days on assignment. $25 gift card at 80 hours worked.

1st shift - 6:30am-3:00 PM2nd Shift - 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM 3rd Shift - 10:30 PM - 7:30 AMResponsibilities of the Forklift Operator:
• Compares pallet tag to pallet load and configuration to ensure accuracy.
• Scans bar code on the pallet label to enter information into the scanner and manually enters quantity information into the scanner; downloads information contained in scanners into the inventory system hourly.
• Using powered or hand operated lift equipment, stores finished goods or parts in designated locations and scans location.
• Performs physical inventory counts as required.
• Unloads incoming factory transfers as necessary
• Audits shipping/receiving quantities to ensure accuracy
• Pick, build, label, and wrap customer orders to customer/vendor requirements
• Effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders using multiple tools to ensure effective visual communication
• Perform similar level or nature of duties as assigned
Required Qualifications of the Forklift Operator:
• Background check and drug screen (minus THC) is required upon hire.
• Forklift certification. Experience with reach, stand up, and sit down. (Employees will test to get certified before starting)
• Ability to routinely get on and off a forklift while lifting up to 50 pounds during an 8 hour shift
• Previous experience using RF Scanners
• Flexibility to work overtime or extra shifts if needed
