OVERVIEW:
DeSales University, in Center Valley, PA, is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts Salesian, Catholic university, under the leadership of the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales. Founded in 1965, the 550-acre suburban campus is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles southwest of New York City. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Coordinator supports all members of the Human Resources team in a variety of areas to fulfill necessary HR tasks. Responsibilities include providing support in the areas of background checks, hiring, onboarding/offboarding, tracking and maintaining all employee data and files, various internal/external communications, event preparation and planning, and supporting all general departmental processes. This individual will serve as a liaison to all colleagues across campus regarding various HR related policies, procedures, and events, and will do so in a professional and Salesian manner in support of the University?s Mission. This individual must maintain the utmost confidentiality when dealing with employees and employee information. If questions ever arise about the confidential nature of information, they should assume it is confidential and seek further clarification.
QUALIFICATIONS: ? High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate?s or bachelor?s degree in Human Resources preferred ? Minimum of 2 years? experience in a professional administrative support role required, experience in Human Resources preferred ? Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required ? Due to the nature of information handled, adherence to strict confidentiality principles is a must. ? Must be well organized, attentive to detail and be able to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously. ? Must demonstrate conduct in a respectful manner, with dignity and honesty, in support of the Salesian tradition of humility and gentleness. ?
