The Junior Professional Associate (JPA) Program at the World Bank Group offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates to embark on a professional journey within a premier development institution. The JPA program is highly competitive, requiring candidates to be 32 years of age or younger, hold a bachelor's degree, and be fluent in English. Candidates may be asked to present academic transcripts and professional references during the selection process. Positions may be located in any of the World Bank's offices worldwide, providing a global perspective on development challenges and solutions. The program emphasizes the importance of collaboration and innovation in addressing the most urgent global challenges, leveraging data, research, and technology to create impactful solutions.
Responsibilities
? Provide assistance to the Long-Term Finance (LTF) team in implementing the advisory program Joint Capital Markets Program (JCAP) across 17 countries, including support for various program activities and donor reporting.

? Assist the LTF team in designing and implementing advisory projects and lending operations related to local capital market development and mobilization of private capital to strategic sectors, including climate change commitments.

? Support data collection and analysis, preparation of technical notes for country engagements, and global engagements.

? Contribute to the knowledge management agenda of the Unit, particularly in green finance products linked to capital markets.

? Assist in preparing internal briefings and reports within the World Bank Group, including internal notes and presentations, and interactions with task teams and WB policy staff.
Requirements
? Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of work experience in finance, economics, law, or a related discipline; a master's degree is an advantage.

? International experience in capital market development, particularly in emerging economies; knowledge of private capital mobilization and sustainable finance is a plus.
,
? Familiarity with Bank operational policies and projects is a strong advantage.
,
? Prior relevant public/government or private sector work experience is also a plus.

? Advanced analytical and synthesis skills are required.

? Strong interpersonal, cross-cultural, and team player skills, with the ability to work independently.

? Demonstrated capacity to prioritize decisions for operational results.

? Effective communication skills, both oral and written, are essential; mandatory English fluency, with French and Spanish proficiency as an advantage.
