The Library Special Services Coordinator position at Leon County Government is a full-time role that primarily supports the business and workforce development needs of Leon County residents. The coordinator will assist library users in selecting and borrowing materials, handle customer service issues, and perform various related duties as assigned. The essential duties of the Library Special Services Coordinator include providing collection access guidance and information services. This involves assisting patrons in using the online catalog, placing hold requests, and locating library materials. The coordinator will also perform collection maintenance activities, such as promoting displays and deselecting outdated materials. Additionally, the role requires providing assistance with public access computers and other technology, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining equipment. Another key aspect of the position is supporting business and workforce development efforts. The coordinator will assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs related to business and workforce development, including workshops and programs. They will also work with local organizations to build partnerships that support these initiatives and provide one-on-one assistance to patrons in job skill development and digital literacy. The coordinator will be responsible for programming and community outreach, planning and implementing programs for various age groups that align with the library's focus areas. They will also engage in professional development activities and participate in meetings as required. The position requires creativity, independent judgment, and the ability to multi-task effectively while adhering to schedules and deadlines. The work environment is dynamic, involving desk work, standing, walking, and potentially operating a vehicle for outreach activities.
Responsibilities

Requirements
? Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business-related field, or six years of job-related experience.

? Possession of a valid Class 'E' State of Florida Driver's License with a favorable driving record.

? Knowledge of customer service practices in a library setting.

? Ability to train and communicate effectively with others.

? Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
