Marketing Data Analyst

Location: Remote but MUST be local to Culver City, CA, Cupertino, CA, or Austin, TX

Duration: 12 months

Pay: Up to $65.95/hr, DOE

Planet Interactive is looking for a Marketing Data Analyst to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will be joining the Growth Marketing team that focuses on supporting list pull campaigns for services within the business.

Marketing Data Analyst Responsibilities: ? Optimize, support, and create the production audience lists for email and push notifications campaigns. ? Work with the CLM Strategy, Operations, and Email Producers to understand the goal of the campaigns ? Translate aforementioned business requirements into complex SQL queries to build target audience lists, dashboards, and optimizing attributes for use in automation. ? Convert queries in automated scripts using SQL ? Write queries off of business requirements (example query concepts: want to look at the most popular artist per user ? how would you create this query) ? Simplify large data sets to optimize performance ? Create the server-side Tableau dashboards and set up requisite data sources

Marketing Data Analyst Qualifications: ? At least 2-4 years of experience in a data analyst role (marketing domain preferred but not required) ? Strong SQL skills (must be able to demonstrate the following expertise in an interview) ? Python or Tableau experience a plus ? Strong analytical background ? Experience working with large data sets ? High proficiency with databases and data retrieval, ANSI SQL (Trino/Snowflake) ? Working knowledge of stored procedures, triggers, functions, and packages ? Experience working with/creating/updating procedures for use in automation ? Knowledge of statistical principles and the underlying data assumptions on which they rely ? Hands-on experience with at least 2 of the following statistical models/techniques: recommendation systems, neural networks, deep learning, optimization and simulation, churn models, logistic regression, linear regression, forecasting, A/B testing, clustering and segmentation, or others ? Extremely strong with documentation
