About the position

The position is responsible for owning the merchandising and Go-To-Market process for the Team/NCAA/Licensed Basketball business. The role involves identifying opportunities, gaps, and challenges within the Team/NCAA space and driving strategic alignment to advance the business. It requires collaboration with key business unit partners and the adidas Team/NCAA/Licensed Go-To-Market teams to meet business requirements across various sales channels. The individual will develop strategies to achieve key business metrics such as net sales, net margin, inventory management, and SKU productivity.

Responsibilities
? Develop and implement the merchandising strategy for the Team/NCAA/Licensed Basketball business.

? Connect and collaborate with key sales partners to determine opportunities, address gaps, and build plans to drive business growth in each sales channel.
,
? Drive go-to-market excellence by identifying key product priorities for the Basketball category and create alignment between demand planning, purchasing, and order fulfillment to ensure products are delivered on time and in full.
,
? Connect with key stakeholders across business units, sports marketing, and brand marketing to drive consumer-relevant authentic stories, as applicable for Team/NCAA Go-To-Market.

? Oversee the go-to-market excellence of assigned categories, including bookings analysis, samples, system management, sales collateral, and on-time availability.

? Present range internally and externally to sales teams and key retailers.
,
? Identify key business opportunities to present to leadership for business growth purposes.

Requirements
? A bachelor's or master's degree with emphasis on merchandising, business, finance, or marketing, or comparable professional experience.
,
? 3-5 years of merchandising, product marketing, or planning experience.
,
? Strong competence in analyzing data to make decisions and communicate objectives.
,
? Organizational navigation and influence skills.
,
? Proven ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
,
? Strong business acumen in channel distribution, process, calendars, net sales, margin, profit, and inventory management.
,
? Ability to work with and influence all levels of the organization.
,
? Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
,
? Prior knowledge of the team sports industry is preferred.
