At the Palm Beach County Food Bank (PBCFB), we are guided by our mission of nourishing our neighbors and improving their lives one meal at a time so that no one goes hungry in our community. PBCFB rescues and mobilizes food donations from local farmers, food distributors, retailers, and restaurants. The rescued food is allocated to our vast network of over 150 social service agencies helping address food insecurity in the county.

Position Summary:
The PBCFB Program Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring food assistance programs run smoothly and effectively, maintaining existing partner agency relationships, strategically identifying new partnerships, and gathering feedback to improve PBCFB's programs and services. This position is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of food pantry relationships - Partner Marketplace, Groceries Seniors, and Pop-Up Farmers Market programs. Responsibilities:
Maintain existing Agency Marketplace, Groceries for Seniors, and Pop-up Farmer Market partner relationships. Manage and enforce Agency Marketplace handbook guidelines, USDA/TEFAP guidelines, and agency expectations. Provides customer services to partner agencies and ensures feedback is communicated internally. Conduct site visits and follow-ups as needed. Collects and records data to inform programmatic outputs and outcomes. Plan and execute program logistics, including managing inventory and coordinating food deliveries to partner agencies.
Develop and implement program materials and educational resources, focusing on nutrition education and healthy food choices. Identify community needs and potential external partners to recruit for participation as PBCFB partner agencies. Guides partner agencies through the new partner agency application and orientation process Communicates between the operations team, program team, volunteers, and other internal departments to ensure the needs of partner agencies and PBCFB are met.
Serves as the first point of contact for PBCFB guests and partner agencies, including but not limited to greeting PBCFB guests and partner agencies, providing customer service, answering guest inquiries, facilitating agency orientations, and ensuring partner agencies are adhering to the scheduling and distribution process. Works in a safe manner and complies with all safety rules and procedures. Promotes team safety.
Represents the PBCFB in a courteous and professional manner with donors, volunteers, visitors, community members, agency partners, clients, staff, and others. Provide support for external PBCFB events as necessary and applicable. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate in Arts or Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of two years in customer service or in a related field in the nonprofit segment. Knowledge of health and human services programs and food banks preferred. Bilingual in Spanish or Haitian Creole preferred. Outstanding analytical and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, is strongly preferred.
Must be dependable, motivated, and a self-starter. Flexible and able to work evenings and weekends if required. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
With or without reasonable accommodation, employees in this position must be able to lift up to 25 lbs., drive regularly, stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is required to sit and will be regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Some night and weekend work is expected.
