On-site: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Marion, Indiana location on a full-time basis.
The Role:
As a member of the Marion Quality Team, you will be responsible for supporting Marion Stamping by working cross functionally with production, processors, and assembly vehicle plants to resolve quality issues by defining, containing, problem solving/root causing, and eliminating. You will work independently with general direction from a supervisor. This position involves a high level of perception and initiative to make sound decisions. You will act as a liaison between production and the assembly plants to resolve issues and to provide support.
What You'll Do:
? Support vehicle engineering in the Implementation of the Quality Requirements. Monitor consistency to Global Metric Definitions and Performance.
? Proficiency and knowledge of the elements of the GM Quality System / GMS BIQ and of the Quality Launch Plan.
? Proficiency and knowledge of the requirements in the Global Quality Manual. Ability to coach, teach and audit elements of GM Quality Manual and GMS BIQ Principle and Elements.
? Managerial Courage to provide direct, honest, constructive feedback to Plant Staff in a subtle and professional manner.
? Support Launch of new products in the plant when applicable.
? Maintain updates to Quality Requirements. Maintain Quality Requirement deviations from plant. Maintain Cost of Quality reports by Plant
? Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
? Ability to make decisions with minimal supervision, work with a strong work ethic and be a self-starter.
