About the position

As a Restaurant Kitchen Equipment Service Technician at Whataburger, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant equipment. This full-time position offers a competitive pay rate of up to $30 per hour and comes with an impressive benefits package, including 5 weeks of paid time off starting on Day 1. You will work a dependable Monday to Friday schedule, with an on-call rotation averaging 7 days per month, allowing for a consistent 50-hour work week year-round. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all types of kitchen equipment, including refrigeration, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), cooking, and beverage equipment. You will also be responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance, managing work orders, and engaging with third-party vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery. In this role, you will be expected to communicate effectively with management and vendors, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally to meet the restaurant's needs. Responsibilities
? Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains all Whataburger equipment, including refrigeration, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), cooking, and beverage equipment.

? Installs new equipment as needed in accordance with company safety procedures.

? Maintains parts inventory.
,
? Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on kitchen equipment, rooftop units, and ice makers.

? Manages work orders to meet Service Level Agreements (SLA) and maximize customer service.
,
? Reports on work schedule and equipment repair statuses.
,
? Engages with third-party vendors and reviews/approves their work.

Requirements
? Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification I, II (required)
,
? Environmental Universal Protection Agency (EPA) Universal Certification or CFC Certification
,
? HVAC State Certified License
,
? Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA) Certification
,
? Trade school graduate with diploma in commercial HVAC/refrigeration
,
? 2+ years' experience in commercial kitchen equipment repair
,
? 2+ years' experience as HVAC Technician, Commercial Refrigeration Technician and/or Maintenance Service Technician
,
? Valid driver's license with liability insurance, a good driving record and a satisfactory background check is required.
