Job Description

Essential Functions:

Makes use of the ANA Nursing Process (2010) to accomplish the following responsibilities: ? Acquires in-depth information crucial to the health or circumstances of the healthcare user. ? Reviews the assessment information to ascertain the diagnosis or problems. ? Outlines projected results for a tailored strategy designed for the healthcare recipient in question. ? Formulates a structured approach that recommends tactics and choices to reach anticipated goals. ? Puts into action the specified plan. Verifies that the patient is making progress along the plan. ? Coordination of Care aims to synchronize care delivery. ? Health Teaching and Health Enhancement - utilizes methods to improve health and ensure a safe setting. ? Advanced practice registered nurses and nursing role specialists provide consultation to influence the designated plan, enhance the skills of others, and promote change. ? Monitors the progress made towards the accomplishment of outcomes.

Adhering to the Guidelines of the ANA Standards of Professional Performance (2010):
? - A systematic strategy is employed to enhance the quality and efficacy of nursing practice
? Acquires skills and knowledge that demonstrate a contemporary approach to nursing practice
? Analyzing individual nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards, guidelines, and pertinent laws and regulations
? Networks with and aids in the professional growth of peers and associates
? Collaborates with patients, family members, and others to ensure effective nursing practice
? Incorporates ethical provisions into various facets of their professional activities
? Implementing research outcomes in practical settings
? In the preparation and execution of nursing care, one must consider elements concerning the security and protection of both patients and healthcare providers, as well as the effectiveness of the interventions provided
? Assumes a leading role within both the professional practice environment and the field as a whole
? Conducting activities with a focus on environmental welfare and overall health

? The responsibilities of a Registered Professional Nurse are determined by the state's rules and regulations, as well as the policies and procedures established by regulatory bodies and accrediting agencies, ensuring that they provide high-quality care within the legal framework.
? Upholds the ethical standards delineated in the Code of Ethics for Nurses by the American Nurses Association in 2010.

Utilizes applicable technology and software effectively and efficiently:
? Help with documenting nursing interventions and patient care activities.
? Access other work-related applications necessary to be an engaged and active associate of the organization, such as company email, iLearn modules, employee engagement surveys, benefits and compensation information, and policies and procedures.
? Actively engages in finding opportunities to elevate the standard of patient care through creative and innovative solutions.

Additional Requirements

Required:

Education - Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing

Certifications - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) - Within 60 days of hire or transfer; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing or Wyoming Board of Nursing for Wyoming facilities

Regarding BLS certification:

The department you are applying to may require BLS certification sooner than 60 days post transfer/hire. The hiring manager will discuss this with you if it is applicable.

Preferred:

Experience - 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience

Education - Bachelors degree in Nursing

Physical Requirements:

Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances. Requires the ability to work designated shift lengths (including 8 and 12 hours), which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours.
