Responsibilities
? The Early Head Start Home Visitor/Social Worker develops and implements mental health and infant mental health related promotion, prevention, and intervention initiatives for the program. This position also provides expertise to the Home Visiting staff on mental health and infant mental health services and maintains partnerships with community mental health providers. In addition, the position provides weekly Early Head Start comprehensive services to a small caseload, focusing on clients at-risk for mental health concerns.
? In conjunction with Program Director, develops and implements protocols for the provision of mental health services within program. Provides mental health services to individuals, dyads, families, and groups of Early Head Start participants. Services can be conducted in participant's home, office setting, or via tele-health. Develops and maintains partnerships with local mental health providers in order to facilitate referrals for additional services when appropriate.
? Utilizing knowledge and expertise in trauma informed care and infant mental health, provides training and technical assistance to home visiting staff regarding mental health concerns. Works with multidisciplinary management team to design and coordinate activities to promote positive mental health and family functioning.
? Plans and conducts education sessions that meet the Head Start Program Performance Standards during weekly home visits with a reduced caseload of pregnant women, infants and toddlers at risk for mental health/social emotional concerns. Provides case management and assists in health care coordination based on client's needs. Conducts screenings and assessments with parent and child.
? Develops written child and family case documentation including documentation of mental health services, home visit notes, child assessment results, child and family goals progress, and parent-child interactions through timely entries into the program database and quarterly reporting.
? Participates in continuing education and clinical supervision activities (with clinical supervisor, clinical supervision group, and/or clinical colleague) in order to maintain licensure requirements.
? Serves as Supervisor or Task Supervisor for interns in the FSU Clinical Social Work program.
Qualifications
? A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
? A valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or ability to obtain prior to hire.
? Education qualifications needed to obtain registered clinical intern status with the State of Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and/or Mental Health Counseling.
? Completion of all requirements necessary for work in a healthcare environment in accordance with state laws, Department of Health, OSHA, and/or CDC, as performs by a qualified physician. A physical examination completed by a qualified healthcare provider/physician is required.
Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
