Job Summary

The Sr. Cyber Security Engineer is an operational role within Information Security under the supervision of the Director of IT Security. This position requires an analytical mind and a detailed understanding of cyber security methodologies. The Sr. Cyber Security Engineer is expected to have a meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.

Sr. Cyber Security Engineer must display an excellent understanding of technology infrastructures using Firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, Web-Proxy and Security Audits. The Sr. Cyber Security Engineer will be comfortable working with a variety of technologies, security problems and troubleshooting of the network.

The ideal candidate will have experience with security engineering, threat intelligence, and incident response, as well as strong technical skills in network defense and system security.

Example Of Essential Functions
? Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organizations data, servers, and networks.
? Troubleshooting security and network problems.
? Responding to all system and/or network security breaches.
? Ensuring that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls.
? Manage and review security logs and taking required actions.
? Testing and identifying network and server vulnerabilities.
? Develop and maintain system-based alerts and policies provided by the organizations SIEM, IPS, Anti-Malware, Email and Internet filtering systems.
? Perform threat-hunting activities to identify malicious activities and vulnerabilities within networks and systems and implement remediation or enforcement actions.
? Develop and implement security automation and orchestration processes to enhance threat detection and response.
? Conduct malware analysis, forensic investigations, and reverse engineering as needed.
? Maintain, configure, and optimize cybersecurity tools such as IDS/IPS, EDR, and vulnerability scanners.
? Work with internal teams to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen security postures.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
? Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
? Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
? Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques.
? Thorough understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, CIS).
? Experience with SIEM solutions
? Proficiency in network protocols, packet analysis, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
? Hands-on experience with EDR/XDR platforms

Minimum Education, Training, And Experience Required
? A degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or a related qualification.
? 3-7 years in Cybersecurity, with a focus on threat analysis, incident response, or security engineering. Security/IT certifications preferred, but not required.
? 2 years of work experience with incident detection, incident response and forensics.
? Experience with Firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Office 365 Security, ESX (VMware), Cisco Umbrella, Cisco IronPort and Endpoint Security.

Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid, if applicable.

Pay range: $87,000-$129,000
