As a Systems Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and program management in Risk and Opportunity Management activities, including the use of Systems Engineering tools to capture, track and communication Risks and Opportunities to the program and Mission Segment
  • Facilitate Program Risk and Opportunities Management Board (ROMB) meetings
  • Assess impact of Risks and Opportunities program schedules and work plans
  • Coordinate the risk assessments and mitigation planning throughout Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
  • Ensure Systems Engineering and Risk and Opportunity is coordinated across Program and major suppliers
  • Support Systems Engineering tasking by assigned by Program Technical Leaders, to include requirement/interface assessment, CDRL generation, assessment and management, and trade study planning, execution and assessment

Familiarity with Engineering and Systems Engineering development processes and phases of development life cycle (proposal, design, qualification, requirements verification/validation, production and deployed system support) ? Familiarity with the Risk and Opportunity Management Processes and/or Tools associate with Risk and Opportunity Management experience with the ? Ability to articulate detailed technical and programmatic issues to subordinates, peers, management and customers Desired Skills: ? Familiarity with engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and operational deployment) ? Experience collaborating with internal and external customers and executive leadership ? Basic understanding of systems thinking techniques ? Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering ? Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
