Job Overview:
? The General Warehouse Laborer is responsible for performing various physical tasks within the warehouse environment. These tasks include receiving, organizing, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products, as well as maintaining a clean and safe working environment. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: ? Receiving & Stocking: Unload, inspect, and store incoming goods in the appropriate locations in the warehouse. Ensure items are correctly labeled and organized for easy retrieval. ? Order Picking & Packing: Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently. Ensure all items are correctly labeled and securely packaged for shipping. ? Inventory Management: Assist in inventory counts and maintain proper inventory levels. Report damaged or missing items to the supervisor. ? Shipping & Distribution: Prepare orders for shipment by organizing, labeling, and ensuring packages are ready for delivery. Ensure timely and accurate shipment of all outgoing orders. ? Cleaning & Maintenance: Keep the warehouse environment clean and organized. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as sweeping, trash removal, and restocking supplies. ? Safety Compliance: Follow safety procedures and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment. ? Team Collaboration: Work with other warehouse staff to achieve daily operational goals and ensure that the warehouse runs smoothly. ? Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and according to company guidelines (if trained). ? Other Duties assigned: Assist in other duties assigned that are related to General warehouse labor positions.
Required Qualifications: ? High school diploma or equivalent preferred. ? Previous warehouse experience is a plus, but not required. ? Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs or more) and perform physical tasks for extended periods. ? Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. ? Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. ? Basic math skills to ensure accurate order picking and inventory management. ? Good communication and team collaboration skills. ? Basic knowledge of safety procedures and proper handling of materials.
Preferred Qualifications: ? Forklift certification or willingness to obtain. ? Experience with inventory management software or warehouse management systems (WMS). ? Previous experience working in a similar warehouse or distribution center environment. ? Preferred RMO capabilities ? Class A CDL
Working Conditions:
