Job description: Jamison Professional Services, Inc. (“Jamison”) is currently seeking a qualified and motivated candidate for the position of Telephone Operator, in the Philadelphia, PA area.
About the Role:
We are seeking reliable and professional Telecommunications Operators to provide critical support across all communications systems at the CMCVAMC and its associated sites. This is a vital customer service role that ensures smooth operation of incoming/outgoing calls, emergency communications, and internal coordination.
  • Length of contract: July 1, 2025, through February 28, 2026.
  • Work schedule: 40 hours per week - There are no dedicated tours for FTE assigned, all FTE will rotate tour coverage. Flex tours may be assigned based on need of contracting officer. The contractor will be required to perform services on all federal holidays and any approved unplanned holiday.
TourLunchBreak8:00AM - 4:30PM(1) thirty-minute (30)(2) 15 minute4:00PM - 12:00PMn/a(2) 15 minute12:00AM - 8:00AMn/a(2) 15 minuteKey Responsibilities:Operate a variety of office and telecom equipment, including:Cisco Phone Model CP 8841Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) switchboardFacility-wide paging systemsDeliver messages and emergency communications promptly and accuratelyMonitor alarms and respond to emergency notifications efficientlyProvide customer service support for patients and staff via phoneRoute calls to the correct departments and locations within the facilityUtilize Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) for administrative tasksMaintain and track communication tasks from start to finishHandle sensitive or difficult calls with professionalism and empathyIndex and maintain current records of patient/employee locationsOperate emergency equipment related to alarms, patient safety, fire, and disaster protocolsPerformance Expectations:All routine calls (internal/external) must be answered within 3 ringsEmergency calls must be answered within 2 ringsAll emergency communications must be broadcast via paging at least 3 times within 15 secondsIdeal Candidate Will Have:Prior experience in telecommunications or customer service rolesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsFamiliarity with hospital or clinical settings (preferred)Ability to stay calm and organized under pressureProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsJAMISON CORPORATE OVERVIEW:Jamison Professional Services, Inc.
